They Call Him Boss, Boss Tyreese!

In Tyreese’s defense, he was meant to be the original “bad a** black guy”, he’s the only “real” male black character from the Walking Dead comic series. T-Dog was never in the comics, he was made for TV only! Also, Tyreese had more lines in his first appearance episode than T-Dog did during all his three seasons!  But if you’ve read Robert Kirman’s comics you’ll know that Tyreese will eventually die. And why is that? Is Robert Kirkman a rascist? Why is it that an Asian can survive so long, but a black man can’t? Are the Chinese in on this?

However, rascism is not really the case. Kirkman’s biggest character is a black female. Michonne’s first appearance was the most epic introduction in television, ever! Her skill with a sword makes the Black Mamba look like Leonardo from the Ninja Turtles!

So, what is it then? Does Michonne get a free pass because she’s a female? Is race really not a factor, but gender is? We’ll see when the Walking Dead Season 3 returns in February, 2013.
